How Do We Help?
In simplest terms, we help by preventing the “good person having a bad day” terminations, as well as the unnecessary lawsuits brought against the agency and chief by employees. Federal, State and local laws set very clear expectations regarding harassment and discrimination in the work environment. Unfortunately, there is a gap between those expectations the behavior of our firefighters, evidenced by related lawsuits being filed on an average of every 12 weeks and costing agencies millions in legal costs. CSG has developed a series of presentations that are very specific for addressing the organizational culture of the operational staff in a way that is meaningful and attention-grabbing. Our systems have had very good success in preventing or at least mitigating the adverse impacts, including costs, of employee bad interactions.
